Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about me and my work. I hope you take a few moments to take a look at both my website and my blog images as well. A simple google search of my name will bring up many things that may differentiate my work from the others you're considering. I'm not a great self promoter. However, there are few accolades that I'm quite proud of, and I think they need to be mentioned in this profile.
I was chose as the editors choice photographer in National Geographic Magazine in October 2013 for their special 125 year anniversary edition. It was a great honour as that magazine inspired me to travel the world for 10 years. It also brought my name to a much wider audience and I have since been contacted from people all over the world about my work. In 2009 I received a travel photographer of the year award from a UK publication Photography Monthly for my work in Varanassi India. In 2010 I received a Travel Photographer Of The Year Award from my work of Glasgow nightlife from CBRE Urban Photographer of the year.
My career in photography now spans over 15 years, and I've been very fortunate to have had, essentially, three different careers in photography. I spent 10 years as a Travel and Music Photographer before I began a Wedding career. I experienced just about every situation a photographer could possible encounter. When I was shooting for a magazine in South America, or onstage live with a Rock Band, I never dreamed for one second that I'd be enjoying wedding photography as much as I do now. I believe that my career as both Travel and Music Photographer has provided me with an extremely unique insight and perspective on how to photograph the most important day in the life of a couple in love.
To me, Wedding Photography ....it's all about the moments people share with one another on the wedding day. I try to capture these moments as unobtrusively and subtly as possible. Like a good referee at a football match, I've had a great game if you hardly noticed i was there.
Today, the decision in choosing a wedding photographer has never been more difficult. The digital revolution has allowed so many new photographers to enter this ever growing field. My work is not about the marketing hype or photoshop manipulation. I don't attempt to pose you into someone who I think you should be. My goal is to capture the essence of who you are by capturing your day naturally- through an artistic interpretation of your day along with some of the best of the traditional aspects of wedding photography.
To me, it's all about the moments of the day. The moments that are obvious, and the hidden gems that you wont see until you view your images. Nobody will work harder to find and capture these moments for you throughout your day.
Please enjoy this site. I hope you click on my blog to view previous weddings shots. It's a great way to grasp the level of consistency in my work. Contact us anytime with any questions.
Thanks for stopping by!
